Can you believe it?!?! We can’t either.
This is a great compliment and accomplishment for The STD Project. Not only did we make the list, we were #58!!!!!! In a class so broad and already full of a gaggle of phenomenal blogs, we would have been positively delighted to have even made the list at #100!!!!!
Somehow, we made it to #58 and we couldn’t be more excited!
getSTDtested.com’s countdown featured bloggers and writers from all over the Web who offer their unique perspective on dating, sexual health, relationships, marriage and everything in between. Blogs ranged from informative to humorous and The STD Project is positively STOKED it was considered the creme de la creme.
This was the first year getSTDtested put together this list, and they plan to continue it as an annual tradition every April to coincide with STD Awareness Month.
You can bet your bottom dollar The STD Project will be vying for a spot on next year’s list as well! :-)
Here’s what they had to say about The STD Project:
‘The STD Project is a one-of-a-kind blog with a clearly defined mission: to reduce stigma and misunderstandings surrounding STDs. The author, Jenelle, has lived with genital herpes for 15 years [you can read my story here] and has built this blog based on her personal experiences and those of others. She combats prejudices about STDs by providing interviews [read them here] and testimonials from people living with STDs, as well as resources for STD education, treatment and testing [find them here]. With STDs more common than ever, the STD Project provides a positive point of view and assertive voice that is desperately needed, stressing that STDs don’t have to hinder your quality of life.’
Wasn’t that AWESOME!?!?!
That was awesome.
